You’ll feel comfortable and relaxed from start to finish and upon completion you’ll feel better, think clearer and sleep sounder.
“It is one of the most beautiful compensations of this life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
We eliminated one of the main obstacles to getting off opiates and alcohol, which is the fear of developing uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. We understand that nobody wants to feel sick. What is Detox?
Detoxification or “detox” is the process of clearing away chemical substances while managing withdrawal symptoms. Detox typically combines pharmacotherapies, nutrition, hydration and rest to suppress the symptoms of withdrawal. We know that detox is the first step in drug rehabilitation but it should always be followed up with behavioral-based therapy.
What is withdrawal?
Withdrawal is a cluster of symptoms that occur shortly after abrupt cessation of alcohol, opiates and other drugs for any person physically dependent to alcohol, medications, or recreational drugs. Symptoms of withdrawal vary by the type of chemical substance used, dosage, frequency and duration of use, and the individual’s general health. Withdrawal is typically treated with medications, vitamins, minerals and electrolytes.
