What is detox? What is withdrawal? Will I experience withdrawal?

What is Detox?

Detoxification or “detox” is the process of purging toxins from the body while managing withdrawal symptoms. The duration of detox can vary, but it typically lasts between 7-10 days. Our detoxification program combines medications with nutrition, hydration and rest to suppress withdrawal symptoms.

We never recommend anyone detox themselves. The potential downside is discomfort and relapse. We’re here to let you know that detox does not have to be a messy affair. By letting our team manage your detox, your chances of success are greatly improved.

What is withdrawal?

Withdrawal is a cluster of symptoms that occur shortly after abrupt cessation of alcohol, opiates and other drugs for any person physically dependent to alcohol, medications, or recreational drugs. The symptoms of withdrawal vary by the type of chemical substance consumed, dosage, frequency and duration of use, and the individual’s general health. Withdrawal is typically treated with medications, vitamins, minerals and electrolytes.

Will I experience withdrawal?

Our drug rehabilitation team is committed to the highest levels of professionalism and excellence. The purpose of our work is to purge away toxins, ease withdrawal symptoms, strengthen the body and restore the mind. Our drug and alcohol treatment program is designed from the ground up to make your recovery very safe, extremely effective and exceptionally comfortable. Detox is considered the first step in a person’s recovery, but detox is not treatment. That is why it is important to follow detox with a recovery program.
